Clare works predominately in oils. Trees are a favourite and their changing seasons, as they lose their leaves to reveal their beautiful skeletons. Her palette is narrow, focusing on blues, whites and yellows. Silhouettes and extremes of light and dark are of particular interest. Most of her inspiration comes from the natural world around Hampshire and Sussex where she lives with her family.
