Clare was brought up in Hampshire and now lives in Rogate with her husband. She has three grown-up children. Clare enjoys working with a limited palette and is inspired by skies, weather and the extremes of light and dark. Clare aim is to draw people into the painting whether it’s through colour or physical pathways. Isolation is a key theme of her paintings, it’s about evoking the emotional connections one feels to the landscape.
